Dashashwamedh Ghat is a main ghat on the Ganga River in Varanasi. it is located close to Vishwanath Temple. This place is most famous for its Ganga Arti. The Ganga Aarti starts soon after sunset and lasts for about 45 minutes. In summer the Aarti begins at about 7 pm due to late sunsets and in winter it starts at around 6 pm. Dashashwamedh Ghat which means the Ghat of 10 sacrificed horses. Lord Brahma sacrificed 10 horses at Rudrasaras and established two Shivlings.
Assi ghat is one of the biggest ghats and most popular ghats in Varanasi. It is known for being a place where long-term foreign students, researchers, and tourists live. Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple is a Hindu temple in Varanasi. It is dedicated to the God Hanuman. Sankat Mochan Temple was founded by Tulsidas who was the author of the Ramacharitamanasa. Every Tuesday and Saturday thousands of people line up in front of the temple to pray to Lord Hanuman. 'Sankat Mochan' means the remover of difficulties. This temple is also called the Monkey temple because of the presence of a lot of monkeys inside the Temple.
Durga Temple is one of the most famous temples in the holy city of Varanasi. This temple has great religious importance in Hinduism and is dedicated to the Maa Durga. A Bengali Queen built this Hindu temple in Varanasi. After the killing (Vadh) of 'Mahisasur Rakchas,' Maa Bhagwati came and live in the Durga Temple for the Kalyan of all her devotees. On the right side of the temple, there is an attractive pond known as Durga Kund which really adds to the beauty of the temple.
