Mussoorie’s Company Garden was renamed Atal Udyan

A famous destination of Mussoorie, the Company Garden of Mussoorie has been renamed Atal Udyan after 182 years. The Company Garden was established in 1842 by Dr H Faknar during British rule. Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi and Urban Development Minister Premchand Aggarwal inaugurated the new name.

New Name of Company Garden – Atal Udyan Mussoorie

Atal Udyan is named after former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi also said that he was fond of Mussoorie and He said that the Company Garden, a symbol of slavery, will now be known as Atal Udyan. Said that soon a huge statue of Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be installed here.

Mussoorie is called the queen of hills, which is famous throughout the country for its beauty. Come on the Mussoorie trip and enjoy the weather and amazing views here. Mussoorie is just 34 km from the Dehradun capital of Uttarakhand.
