Unique Kanwar: Grandson carrying 95-year-old grandmother on her shoulders, reached Haridwar on foot from Mathura to fill water

They collected the sacred Gangajal and began their return journey, carrying his beloved grandmother on his shoulders. In Mathura, a heartwarming story unfolded when Kasturi, a 95-year-old grandmother, expressed her wish to participate in the Kanwar Yatra. Determined to fulfill her desire, her grandson, accompanied by his wife Pinky, traveled to Haridwar. However, due to her old age, Kasturi was unable to walk. Undeterred, the grandson decided to carry his beloved grandmother on his shoulders, after filling the sacred Gangajal. With immense love and respect, he embarked on the journey to take her home, ensuring her dream was fulfilled in the most extraordinary way.

As the Dak Kanwar Yatra begins, a remarkable sight unfolds along the highway leading to the Kanwar track. Devotees of Lord Shiva, known as grand Kanwar, embellish the roads with vibrant saffron hues. This captivating spectacle draws a multitude of people from the surrounding area who gather on the roadside to witness this magnificent display.
