The IRCTC portal, which facilitates ticket bookings for the Kedarnath Heli service, is expected to reopen on or after June 10. This reopening will allow passengers to book heli tickets for travel dates beyond June 16. Currently, there are seven companies operating helicopter services for the Kedarnath Dham pilgrimage, offering transportation from Guptkashi, Sirsi, and Phata. However, due to the high demand for heli tickets for the Kedarnath Yatra, tickets are already fully booked until June 15. As a result, the reopening of the IRCTC ticket booking portal will provide an opportunity for pilgrims to secure their desired travel.

Upon the reopening of the ticket booking portal, it is observed that the available heli tickets for the Kedarnath Yatra are being swiftly filled within a single day. Following the commencement of the Kedarnath temple’s operations on April 25, helicopter services were initiated to facilitate transportation for pilgrims. Remarkably, over 44 thousand passengers have already successfully reached Kedarnath through these helicopter services. C Ravi Shankar, the CEO of Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority, has stated that the booking of heli tickets will soon commence.
