Over 38,000 Devotees Visit Kedarnath Dham on Day One
Char Dham Yatra 2026 – A Sacred Beginning – The holy Char Dham Yatra 2026 has begun, covering the revered shrines of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. The overwhelming turnout of devotees at Kedarnath is a heartening sign of the deep faith and devotion people hold for this sacred pilgrimage.
The sacred Kedarnath Yatra 2026 began with an overwhelming response as more than 38,000 devotees of Lord Shiva arrived at Shri Kedarnath Dham on the very first day. From early morning, long queues of श्रद्धालु (devotees) were seen waiting patiently for Baba Bholenath Darshan at the Kedarnath Temple. The crowd remained steady throughout the day, and even by evening, thousands were still in line to seek blessings.
Temple Doors Opened with Rituals and Chanting
The doors of Shri Kedarnath Temple were opened at 8:00 AM with full धार्मिक विधि-विधान (rituals), पूजा, and Mantra Ucharan of “Om Namah Shivaya”. At the time of opening itself, more than 10,000 devotees were present, marking a spiritually charged atmosphere filled with devotion and energy.
Presence of Chief Minister and Flower Shower Ceremony
On this auspicious occasion, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was also present. He extended his warm wishes to the devotees who had arrived from across the country and abroad. A flower shower from helicopters was organized during the event, making the sacred atmosphere even more divine and memorable.
