On Monday, Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri arrived at Badrinath Dham, a revered pilgrimage site. Showing deep reverence, he paid a visit to Lord Badri Vishal and offered heartfelt prayers. Following the spiritual ritual, the Assembly Speaker also took the time to interact with the devotees who had gathered at the Dham.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, Yogendra Singh, warmly welcomed the Assembly Speaker during the morning hours. As part of the visit, the Assembly Speaker also made a stop at the Lakshmi Mata Temple. During his time there, he actively sought feedback from the devotees regarding their experiences and observations about the pilgrimage journey, known as the yatra, within the temple premises.
In the temple premises, the Badrivishal Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) presented Lord Badrivishal’s sacred Prasad and a revered Tulsi Mala to the Assembly Speaker. Graciously receiving the offerings, the Speaker then departed for Bharadisain to participate in the Children’s Legislative Assembly session.
21 lakh passengers have visited in 44 days
During the Chardham Yatra, which lasted for about one and a half months, over 21 lakh pilgrims embarked on the sacred journey. Impressively, the total number of registrations reached 41 lakh, indicating significant interest and participation in this revered pilgrimage. Despite initial weather challenges, the devotion and enthusiasm of the devotees remained unwavering. The government is optimistic that this year’s Chardham Yatra will set a new record for the number of devotees undertaking the pilgrimage.
