4 Dham Temples Closing Date for Winter Season
The entrance to the Yamunotri Dham will be shut at 11:57 AM on Wednesday, November 15th, aligning with the significant celebration of Bhai Dooj. Likewise, the gates of Badrinath Dham will be closed at 3:33 PM on the evening of November 18th, signaling the end of the pilgrimage season and the onset of winter.

The significant festival of Dussehra has set the dates and auspicious hours for closing the revered pilgrimage destinations of Yamunotri and Badrinath. During a meeting of the priest community on Tuesday, the auspicious timing for closing these sacred sites was decided at the Kharsali village, situated near Goddess Yamuna’s winter sanctuary.
On the auspicious occasion of Bhai Dooj, which falls on Wednesday, November 15th, the gates of Yamunotri Dham will be closed precisely at 11:57 AM during the Abhijit Muhurat (Makar Lagna) after a special puja and Archana. These gates will remain shut for the next six months. During the meeting, notable individuals such as Suresh Uniyal, Vipin Uniyal, Rajaswarp Uniyal, Pankaj Uniyal, Pawan Uniyal, Pyare Lal Uniyal, Jayprakash Uniyal, and others were present.
Gangotri Dham Closing Date Kedarnath Dham Closing Date
The decision to close the doors of Gangotri Dham for the winter season was made on the first day of Sharadiya Navaratri. The gates of the Gangotri Dham will be shut on November 14th, precisely at 11:45 AM, marking the auspicious occasion of Annakoot and aligning with the favorable Abhijit Muhurat. Whereas on November 15, on the day of Bhaiya Dooj, the doors of Kedarnath Dham and Yamunotri Dham will be closed.
