Until noon, a staggering number of 10,855 devout individuals were transported from Sonprayag to the sacred abode of Kedarnath Dham. Between 6 am and 10 am, a lengthy queue stretched from the parking lot to the barrier, indicating a significant influx of pilgrims. However, after 11 am, only a limited number of passengers were allowed to proceed from this point onwards. Meanwhile, within the confines of Kedarnath, a throng of devotees congregated throughout the day, fostering an atmosphere of spiritual fervor. In a departure from recent days, the Dham basked in radiant sunshine, granting the pilgrims a delightful respite from inclement weather.

The pilgrimage to the Dham in Sonprayag commenced as early as 4 in the morning, with eager passengers lining up for their turn. As the hours passed, the queue steadily grew, resulting in a substantial line by 6 am. The administration worked diligently to facilitate the journey, and by eight o’clock, they had already dispatched over three thousand devotees to the sacred Dham. Building on this momentum, an impressive ten thousand pilgrims embarked on their voyage to seek Darshan of Baba Kedar by 11 am. In the final hour of the scheduled time, an additional 855 devoted individuals were sent on their way. However, after this point, passengers were only permitted to travel from Sonprayag to Gaurikund until 6 pm.

Devotees started gathering in the temple premises at 3 am

According to Sector Magistrate Arun Bhatt, the day witnessed a remarkable change in weather compared to previous days, as it remained clear throughout the morning and continued to be pleasant throughout the entire day. Additionally, there was a significant crowd that gathered in the morning at the pilgrimage site. However, by 11 am, the line had considerably dwindled, and the queues were almost empty. Meanwhile, in Kedarnath, devotees began congregating in the temple premises as early as 3 am, eagerly seeking the divine darshan of Baba.

As a result, a significant throng of devotees congregated within the sacred confines of the temple premises. Ramesh Chandra Tiwari, the Executive Officer of the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, expressed his observations, stating that the fervor and enthusiasm among the devotees to have darshan persisted throughout the day. The devotion and dedication of the pilgrims were evident as the number of visitors to Kedarnath on Friday surpassed an impressive count of 2.5 lacks.
