Expansion
Starting from April 6th, travelers will be able to book tickets for the Kedarnath Heli Service online as part of the Chardham Yatra. The Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority has confirmed that they have completed all necessary preparations for the ticket booking process. In the initial phase, the booking facility will be available for a limited time period from April 24th to April 30th. This will provide travelers with an opportunity to secure their seats in advance for the popular Kedarnath Heli Service. The online ticket booking system will offer convenience and ease of access for those planning to undertake the Chardham Yatra.
The Kedarnath Heli Service, which operates from Guptkashi, Sirsi, and Phata helipads, will now offer ticket booking through the IRCTC website. IRCTC has begun trials for the online booking platform, and the portal will initially be open from April 24th to April 30th for booking tickets. The second phase for ticket booking will be decided later. The Char Dham Yatra is scheduled to begin on April 22nd, with the Kedarnath Dham doors opening on April 25th. Last year, around 1.36 lakh pilgrims used the Heli service to reach Kedarnath, and this year’s online booking system is expected to provide greater convenience and accessibility for travelers.

Online ticket booking will not be done without registration
As part of the Chardham Yatra, registration for passengers will now be mandatory to travel on the Kedarnath Heli Service. Without registration, passengers will not be able to book tickets for the Heli service online. Additionally, passengers will be limited to booking a maximum of six seats at a time using their ID, while those traveling in groups will be allowed to book up to 12 seats at a time. These measures are being implemented to streamline the ticket booking process and ensure a smooth and organized travel experience for all passengers. By registering, passengers will have access to the online booking system and will be able to secure their seats for the Kedarnath Heli Service in advance.
