The Transport Department is developing a mobile app to facilitate the journey of passengers visiting Chardham Yatra. The app will provide a range of services, including vehicle registration and trip card issuance, to make the travel process more streamlined. The National Informatics Centre (NIC) is responsible for developing the app.

According to Joint Transport Commissioner Sanat Kumar Singh, the mobile app for Chardham Yatra is currently under development and will undergo trial testing after Holi. The app is expected to be available for pilgrims to download from Google Play Store and Apple Store in the last week of March or the first week of April. Additionally, the process of creating green cards for vehicles will commence during the same period.

Transport Department has asked for employees

The Transport Department has requested additional employees to address the shortage of personnel for the Chardham Yatra. Furthermore, a budget has been requested to cover the expenses associated with the yatra. In previous years, the government has employed outsourcing or deployed personnel from other departments or the PRD to support the Chardham Yatra.

Special enforcement teams will be deployed

Shailesh Tiwari, the RTO Enforcement officer in Dehradun, has announced that enforcement teams will be stationed in various locations along the Chardham Yatra route. These teams will verify the green cards of vehicles and assist in resolving any issues related to the operation of vehicles.
