Due to excessive rainfall in August & September at the pedestrian way of Kedarnath and Gaurikund, the trekking route collapsed in many places. Culverts of Junglechatti, Bhimbali, and Rambada were damaged. There was a washout at 28 places on the 22 km walking route. Now the route is continued as temporary. The government passed 18 Crore rupees funds for the re-establishment of the Kedarnath Gaurikund route, build of safety points, and re-build of 3 culverts. This amount would be used for building pedestrians and safety.
The road will be protected by constructing a three-tier security wall in Bhairav Gadera, TF Chatti, Kuber Gadera snowbank zone. Many places on the routes where the routes were collapsed from Sonpryag to Kedarnath. Kedarnath Yatra is going on.
