New Daily Quota for Devotees at All Four Dhams, Including Kedarnath-Badrinath.

The tourism department has announced an increase in the number of devotees allowed daily for darshan in all four pilgrimages, including Kedarnath and Badrinath. This will enable more devotees to visit the holy shrines during the Chardham Yatra.

The tourism department is planning to increase the daily number of devotees for darshan at all four pilgrimage sites, including Kedarnath and Badrinath. This decision was taken in response to the high number of pilgrims who visited the sites last year during the Chardham Yatra. The department has submitted a proposal, which will be reviewed by Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami in a meeting on February 21.

The online registration process for Kedarnath and Badrinath Dhams will begin on February 21, with a daily limit of 9,000 and 10,000 devotees respectively. Full registration for all four Dhams will start once the opening date for Gangotri and Yamunotri portals is confirmed. The decision was made by the Tourism Department, and the details will be discussed in a meeting chaired by CM Pushkar Dhami.

The Opening time of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will be decided in Navratri:

Rajesh Semwal, the Joint Secretary of Gangotri Dham, has announced that the doors of both Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will open on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, but the exact time is yet to be determined. This decision will be made on the first Navratri. In certain instances, if Akshaya Tritiya occurs after 12 noon, the doors may not open until the following morning.

Registration will be done in four ways:

Devotees planning to go on the Chardham Yatra will have four options to register themselves. They can register through the website registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in, or through WhatsApp at 8394833833. They can also download the mobile app “tourist care Uttarakhand” or call the toll-free number 01351364 to complete the registration process.

Tender Sought for Kedarnath Dham Heli service:

The Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (Ukada) has invited online tenders until February 28 to operate the Kedarnath Heli service. The authority has proposed to increase the fare this time, which will be effective for the next three years. The Heli service will be operated for Kedarnath through multiple helipads during the yatra season, including two from Guptkashi, four from Phata, and three from Sirsi, according to the terms of the tender.

Increase in the Number of devotees visiting:

To accommodate a higher number of pilgrims in the upcoming Chardham Yatra, the Uttarakhand tourism department has increased the daily limit of devotees for darshan at all four Dhams. The new daily limit is 18,000 for Badrinath, 15,000 for Kedarnath, 9,000 for Gangotri, and 5,500 for Yamunotri. The decision was made based on the record number of pilgrims who visited the shrines during the last yatra. The final numbers will be confirmed during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami on February 21.
