The Pandoh Dam

Pandoh Dam - The Pandoh Dam is built on River Beas in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh and this dam is used to generating electricity from the water. Manali and Kulu get electricity supply from this dam. Pandoh dam is just come on the way of Kullu and Manali due to this it attracts the tourists and so they visit it and explore it. This is nowadays has been become a popular tourist place.


Pandoh dam is completed in 1977. The melting ice water comes on this dam and nowadays water level increased and recommended to tourists doesn’t go nearest to the water because speed is high. Pandoh dam is 10 kilometers far from the Manali bus stand.


Baglamukhi Temple - Baglamukhi temple is popular Hindu religious temple is located in Mandi district and the centre of huge Hindus’ Faith in it. On occasion of Baglamukhi birth anniversary a big fair (Mela) held here every year and can be seemed a lots of devotees. Soon rope way will be built which connect Pandoh dam to Baglamukhi and reduces the 10 km distance after built this rope way.


Best time to reach Pandoh dam

Due to snowfall and unpredictable weather, moths April to July and September to November good time to visit here. There are heavy rainfall and landslide during rainy season.
