Kanwar Fair Traffic Plan for Maha Shivratri 2023 in Haridwar: Read Before Arrival.
A plan has been set for visiting Panchrama Shiva Mandir starting from Rajahmundry, which will be in effect until February 18th for the Mahashivratri festival bath. Vehicle parking has been designated at Haridwar, and entry of vehicles from outside the city will be limited.
The Haridwar police has created a traffic plan for vehicles traveling to the city for the Kanwar fair. The plan, which diverts traffic from Delhi-NCR, Dehradun-Garhwal, and Kumaon-UP, will be in effect until February 18th for the Mahashivratri festival bath. Parking has been designated for vehicles visiting Haridwar, and entry of outside vehicles into the city will be limited.

A traffic diversion plan has been put into effect starting Monday.
- Heavy vehicles starting their journey from Haridwar or Sidkul and heading towards Bijnor, Najibabad, or Moradabad, will take the route that goes through Bahadarabad, Roorkee, Purkaji, Muzaffarnagar, Jansath, and finally, Mirapur before reaching Bijnor.
- Heavy vehicles traveling from Dehradun or Rishikesh and headed towards Bijnor, Najibabad, and Moradabad will follow a specific route to reach their destinations. They will start from either Dehradun or Rishikesh and pass through Mohand Chowki, Biharigarh, and Saharanpur before reaching Deoband. From there, they will take the Bagowali Chauraha route and then proceed through the Bhopa Bypass Overbridge, Bilaspur Cut Jansath, and Mirapur to finally reach Monti Tiraha and Bijnor. This route is specifically designed for heavy vehicles to ensure their safe and timely travel to their intended destinations.
- For small vehicles traveling from Haridwar and headed towards Bijnor or Najibabad, there is a specific route they will need to take. They will start their journey from Haridwar and pass through Singhdwar Chowk and Jagjitpur before reaching Ferupur. From there, they will take the Laxar route and proceed through Balawali and Mandawar before finally reaching Bijnor. This route has been designed to ensure the safe and smooth travel of small vehicles, and it is expected to be a reliable and efficient way for drivers to reach their intended destinations.
- Small vehicles traveling from Dehradun or Rishikesh and heading towards Bijnor, Najibabad, or Moradabad have a specific route they need to follow. The journey will begin from either Dehradun or Rishikesh and pass through Nepali Farm, Raiwala Bhupatwala, and Rodibelwala before reaching the Anandwan Samadhi cut via the Rishikul Highway. From there, the route will continue to Singhdwar Chowk and Jagjitpur before reaching Ferupur, followed by Laxar, Balawali, and Mandawar. Finally, the journey will end in Bijnor, which will be accessed via the flyover. This route is specifically designed for small vehicles to ensure safe and timely travel, and it is a reliable and efficient way for drivers to reach their intended destinations.
Vehicles will reach parking through these routes.
- Vehicles coming from Dehradun/Rishikesh to Haridwar will stop at Nepali Farm Tiraha-Raiwala-Bhupatwala Dudhadhari Tiraha at Laljiwala parking.
- Vehicles traveling to Haridwar from Najibabad will be directed to park at Gaurishankar and Neeldhara parking areas, which are located along the Chidiyapur-Shyampur route.
- Vehicles traveling from Delhi to Haridwar will be directed to park at designated parking areas located along the route. The parking areas include Alaknanda Deendayal parking, Pantdweep Chamkadad parking, and Core College Bahadarabad parking, with the final destination being Haridwar. The route that the vehicles will travel is Delhi-Meerut-Muzaffarnagar-Narsan-Mangalore-Core College Bahadarabad-Haridwar.
- Vehicles traveling to Haridwar from the Punjab and Haryana regions will be directed to park at designated parking areas located along the route. The parking areas include Alaknanda Deendayal parking, Pantdweep Chamkadad parking, and Nagla Imarti Core College Bahadarabad Bypass parking, with the final destination being Haridwar. The route that the vehicles will travel is Punjab/Haryana-Saharanpur-Mandawar Bhagwanpur-Salier-Bijauli Chowk via NH 344. The designated parking areas have been set up to ensure the safe and convenient parking of vehicles, with enough space for parking and maneuvering.
This will be the system for roadways buses
- Roadways buses traveling from Dehradun to Haridwar have been allocated a specific parking area at Motichur parking. After completing their activities in Haridwar, the buses will return to Dehradun through the same route. The designated parking area at Motichur ensures that the buses can be easily located and boarded by their owners, who will be able to continue on their journey back to Dehradun in a safe and timely manner.
- Roadways buses traveling from Delhi or Meerut to Haridwar will park at the designated roadways bus station after completing their respective routes.
- The roadways buses that are traveling from Dehradun to Delhi, Meerut, and Muzaffarnagar will follow a specific route that goes via Datkali Mandir, Mohand, and Biharigarh.
- Buses operated by roadways, which are traveling from Dehradun or Rishikesh to Najibabad, will follow a specific route that includes several stops along the way. The buses will start from Nepali Farm and travel through Raiwala and Haridwar Singhdwar, Jagjitpur, Ferupur, Sultanpur, Laxar, Balawali, and Bijnor before finally reaching their destination of Najibabad.
- Roadways buses coming from the Punjab/Haryana side will follow their designated routes to reach Haridwar.
