Starting today, a significant amount of reconstruction material, weighing 150 tonnes, will be transported from the Gauchar airstrip to Dham via the Chinook helicopter. The chopper will undertake two shuttles daily, operating from 6 am to 9 am, ensuring a steady supply of essential materials. However, during this period, the helicopter service dedicated to the Kedarnath Yatra will be temporarily suspended to facilitate the reconstruction efforts.

Today, on Tuesday, the Chinook helicopter is all set to commence the crucial task of transporting construction material to Kedarnath from 6 am onwards. Two dumpers, a Pokeland, a bridge-making pile machine, and other essential items will be efficiently transported by the Chinook. The District Magistrate has announced that starting today, the Chinook helicopter will begin its operations, transporting the construction materials from the Gauchar airstrip to Kedarnath. This time, a substantial 150 tonnes of construction material will be transported by the Chinook.
