Chitrakoot Dham is a city located in Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh state of India. It is also the headquarters of that district. It is situated in the Bundelkhand region. Lord Ram spent 11 years of exile in Chitrakoot. Buddha statue was installed in Chitrakoot Dham but even today it is hidden.
