This is the place where Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati meditated. Every year thousands of devotees of Lord Shiva come here to seek his blessings. There is also a hot water pond here which is believed to purify people spiritually by taking a dip in it. This place is situated at an altitude of 5000 feet above sea level and due to this place being at high altitude, the temperature here remains low. Near Parvati Kund, you can see snow-covered mountains and lush green grasslands. The views here are worth seeing. Along with this, this place also provides you the opportunity of trekking which is another attraction of Parvati Kund which attracts people apart from its sacred shrine.
To reach Parvati Kund, first of all, you have to reach Pithoragarh. You can reach Pithoragarh by Train, Taxi, and Bus at your convenience. After reaching Pithoragarh, you can reach Parvati Kund by taxi or bus from Pithoragarh. Your journey from Pithoragarh to Parvati Kund will take approximately 4 to 5 hours.
After taking blessings of Lord Shiva at Jolingko during his visit to Uttarakhand. Today on 12-10-2023, Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi also worshiped Goddess Parvati after reaching Parvati Kund.
