Kedarnath: With the wish of an uninterrupted journey, the process of opening the doors of Baba Kedar started, invoked Bhairavnath

Before the journey of Baba Kedar’s palanquin to the heavenly abode of Baba Kedar, a sacred ceremony was held at the Bhairavnath temple in Ukhimath’s Omkareshwar temple. Rawal Bhimashankar Ling, the high priest appointed for Kedarnath, performed special prayers and blessed the Shiv Ling. He made a commitment to worship the Dham for a period of six months before Lord Bhairavnath.

The process of opening the doors of Kedarnath Dham has commenced with a special worship of Lord Bhairavnath. Lord Bhairavnath is revered as Kshetrapal and was worshipped for a safe journey to Lord Kedarnath. The deity was adorned with garlands made of puri dumplings before performing the Ashtadash Aarti. On Thursday, special prayers were held at the Bhairavnath temple in Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath, which is the seat of Panchkedar. The appointed priest, Shiv Linga, performed the Panch Brahma Mantra on Lord Bhairavnath, followed by Panchamrit Abhishek with Rudrabhishek, and adorned the deity with a garland made of Puri-Pakodi.
After offering Bal Bhog, Mahabhog was presented to Lord Bhairavnath. Shivacharya Mahaswami Kedar Ling, Pujari Shiv Shankar Ling, Bagesh Ling, and Gangadhar Ling, led by Rawal Bhimashankar Ling of Kedarnath, performed the Ashtadash Aarti. The ceremony included the chanting of Vedas by Vedpathi Vishwamohan Jamloki, Yashodhar Maithani, Naveen Maithani, Mrityunjay Hiremath, and Asharam Nautiyal, while all the religious traditions were being followed.
Rawal Bhimashankar Ling, the high priest of Kedarnath, blessed the Chief Priest Shiv Ling appointed for the temple by committing to worship the Dham for six months in front of Lord Bhairavnath. Prasad was distributed to all the devotees who participated in the worship ceremony of Lord Bhairavnath. BKTC member Srinivas Posti, BJP Mahila Morcha State President Asha Nautiyal, Nagar Panchayat President Vijay Rana, SDM Jitendra Verma, Executive Officer Ramesh Tiwari, Chief Administrative Officer Rajkumar Nautiyal were among the attendees at this auspicious occasion.
