Kedarnath Heli Service Update: Starting from April 24th, Kedarnath Heli Service will be available for booking through IRCTC. This service will provide helicopter transportation to the Kedarnath temple, which is located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.
Expansion
The Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority has developed a cancellation and refund policy for the Kedarnath Heli Service as part of the Chardham Yatra. If the flight the Heli service is canceled due to reasons such as bad weather, technical issues, or government orders, the passengers will be entitled to a full refund of their fare.
In addition to the cancellation and refund policy for the Kedarnath Heli Service, passengers who cancel their ticket bookings five days prior to the scheduled flight will receive a 75 percent refund of their fare. The Char Dham Yatra, which includes the Gangotri, Yamunotri, and Kedarnath temples, will begin on April 22 with the opening of the doors of the Gangotri and Yamunotri temples. The Kedarnath temple doors will open on April 25, while the Kedarnath Heli service will commence a day earlier on April 24. Passengers can book their Heli service tickets through IRCTC.

According to the policy, if a passenger fails to arrive at the helipad one hour before the scheduled slot time of the Kedarnath Heli Service, the passenger will be considered a no-show, and no refund will be provided. C Ravi Shankar, CEO of UCADA, confirmed this. Additionally, ticket cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled flight will not be eligible for any refund.
The cancellation and refund policy for the Kedarnath Heli Service includes different refund percentages based on the time of cancellation. Passengers who cancel their tickets between 24 to 48 hours before the scheduled flight will receive a 25 percent refund of their fare, while those who cancel between 48 hours to five days will receive a 50 percent refund, and passengers who cancel before five days will receive a 75 percent refund. If the Heli service itself is canceled, passengers will receive a full refund, and they must deposit their boarding pass at the company’s counter at the helipad to initiate the refund process.
