On Tuesday, the city parikrama commenced from the Shri Darbar Sahib compound, led by Mahant Devendra Das Maharaj, following the ascension of Shri Jhande ji. Over 25,000 devotees arrived to take part in the circumambulation.
A considerable crowd has gathered at the Shri Jhandeji fair, where devotees are bowing down before Shri Jhanda Sahib and seeking blessings. The worshippers also visited Shri Mahant Devendra Das Maharaj and Sajjadanshin of Shri Darbar Sahib to receive their blessings.
Visitors who have arrived from different regions are making significant purchases at the Shri Jhande ji fair, while some attendees have begun to depart. KC Juyal, the fair administrator, mentioned that a vast number of Sangats from various parts of the country and overseas come to Shri Darbar Sahib for the Nagar Parikrama, which initiates on the third day after the ascension of Shri Jhande ji.

Shri Darbar Sahib is located at Saharanpur Chowk on Kanwali Road. The route of the city parikrama passes through SGRR Bindal, Tilak Road, Bindal Cut, Ghantaghar, Paltan Bazar, Lakkhibagh, Saharanpur Chowk, Bombay Bagh, and Samadhi Sthal.
Prasad of gram, puffed rice and jaggery will be distributed to Sangat.
During the Nagar Parikrama, the devotees will arrive at Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School, Bindal after passing through Saharanpur Chowk and Kanwali Road. At this location, the Sangat will be offered Prasad consisting of gram, puffed rice, and jaggery. The procession will then continue via Tilak Road, Tagore-Villa, Ghantaghar, and Paltan Bazar to reach Ritha Mandi and Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School Bombay Bagh. Here, the worshippers will receive sugarcane, Prasad. After paying respects at the tomb of Brahmalin Shrimahant Sahiban, the city parikrama will conclude at 12 noon at Shri Darbar Sahib through Saharanpur Chowk.
People are very fond of green tea of Shri Darbar Sahib
The Sangat is quite fond of the green tea produced from the tea gardens of Sri Darbar Sahib, while the organic agricultural products like pulses, rice, and vegetables, cultivated by the Agriculture Department team of Sri Guru Ram Rai University, have also become a major attraction at the fair. The visitors are highly appreciative of the green tea and are taking a keen interest in it.
Glory of Guru and glory of bhajan-kirtan There
Since Monday morning, the premises of Sri Darbar Sahib have been echoing with the sounds of Guru Mahima and bhajan-kirtan, creating an aura of divine devotion. The devotees are thoroughly enjoying the devotional songs and Shabad singing, particularly the rendition of Nit Khair Manga Baba Ji Main Teri Dua Na Koi Hor Mangadi. The spiritual ambiance of the surroundings is enhancing the devotional experience of the worshippers.
Appeal to come forward for environmental protection
During the fair, Mahant Devendra Das Maharaj shared an inspiring message with the Sangat, urging them to lead an ideal life. He emphasized the need to protect the environment and become active participants in de-addiction programs. He also provided spiritual guidance on how to attain freedom from the cycle of birth and death and the ultimate goal of salvation. His teachings and message have been well received by the visitors, who are inspired to lead a life of purpose and meaning.
