Very Good news for devotees, the ropeway service has been started at Siddhpeeth Maa Surkanda Devi Temple. It has given relief for the 1.5 km steep climb. The ropeway had been built before Navratri, But Now its service has been started and its fare for up and down is only Rs. 177 per person.
This ropeway is built at 32 crore rupees and 16 boxes are there in it. Six people can seat in a particular box. People will now get relief by climbing one and a half km from Kaddukhal to the temple.
How to reach Surkanda Devi Temple
Surkanda Devi temple is located in Kanatal, Uttarakhand. From Mussoorie, you can reach the temple which is 38 km via Chamba Mussoorie Road. Dehradun is the capital of Uttarakhand and from the Airport Jolly Grant/ Railway Station you can hire a taxi for temple visits and nearby sightseeing. From Dehradun via Mussoorie, You have to cover a distance of approx 75 km to reach Kaddukhal.
You can also hire Haridwar Taxi from Haridwar and Rishikesh to reach Surkunda Mandir via the Dehradun Mussoorie roadway. There are three railway stations at Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Dehradun, where Dehradun Railway station is the nearest to Temple.
