This means that the devotees will have to pay more for the rented facilities compared to the previous years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expansion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The district administration and district panchayat have announced the rates for horse mule, Dandi-Kandi, and palanquin rentals for the upcoming Kedarnath Yatra. According to the new rates, travelers who wish to travel from Sonprayag to Base Camp Kedarnath by horse mule will have to pay Rs. 3000, which is a 10% increase from the previous year&#8217;s fare of Rs. 2740. This indicates that the cost of travel for devotees has gone up this year and they will have to shell out more money to reach the holy shrine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the increased rental rates for horse-mule and palanquin rentals, there are also new fares for returning from Kedarnath to Sonprayag. Passengers who choose this route will have to pay Rs. 2100 for the service. Furthermore, those who wish to travel from Gaurikund to Kedarnath via Dandi-Kandi will be charged between Rs. 7000 to Rs. 9000, depending on the weight they are carrying.
