Traditionally, the date of opening of the doors of Badrinath temple is announced on Vasant Panchami and the date of the opening of the doors of Kedarnath temple is announced on the day of Mahashivratri. After this, on April 25, the Tel Kalash Yatra will start from the Raj Mahal and reach Shri Badrinath Dham for the consecration of Lord Badrivishal on the fixed date of opening of doors.
