The committee is currently reviewing the proposal and considering the feasibility of incorporating this significant addition to the temple’s architecture.
Once the temple committee completes the required formalities and concludes the final discussions with the donors, a magnificent urn will be installed atop the temple with their assistance. The auspicious day and time for the installation will be determined by consulting the almanac.
After nearly three decades, a new triangular gold-plated urn will grace the Kedarnath temple next year. The temple committee has received requests from three devoted Shiva followers from Maharashtra and Gujarat to install a 5 to 7-kg urn. The committee is currently considering their proposal.
The committee will decide with whose help the urn will be planted
In the initial phase, high-ranking officials of the temple committee engaged in discussions with the three donors. The committee will now independently determine which donor to select. However, given the remarkable enthusiasm displayed by all three donors in presenting the golden urn, there is a possibility of establishing a grand urn through the combined cooperation of all three.
A replica of the current Kalash will soon be installed atop the Kedarnath temple with the assistance of three successful donors. The committee has concluded negotiations, and the Kalash will be crafted in collaboration with these individuals. Following its creation, Vedic mantras will be chanted in the presence of authorized individuals, and the auspicious lagna will be chosen for the installation of the urn. Ajendra Ajay, President of the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, confirmed this information.
