Chardham Yatra 2022: Devotees were done a very smooth Chardham Yatra in May and June months. But now it is the rainy season and bad weather is obstructing the Chardham Yatra. Travel is getting affected due to rain. The pilgrimage to Badrinath Dham has come to a halt at present due to the closure of Badrinath Highway at Benakuli, Radang Band, Lambagad Nala and Khachda Nala.
The walkway is more affected due to heavy rain and it is dangerous due to landslides and sudden accidents. Many pilgrims avoid Yatra during the monsoon. It was very risky to travel on hills during the rainy season. Meanwhile, the administration is engaged in the work of clearing the debris. Due to debris in many places, the movement of vehicles is blocked and the passengers have to wait for hours to open the road.
